At the beginning of 2017, aged 14, Oskar moved away from home to join the Wellington Phoenix Academy. Oskar played for the academy through the age groups for 5 years until he graduated to the first team and earned a 3 year deal professionally. Oskar appeared in 47 total matches for Wellington, scoring 2 and assisting 4 before transferring to Sligo Rovers FC in the League of Ireland.
Oskar has represented New Zealand u17 level 11 times competitively. He has scored 3 times and assisted 5, including in the FIFA u17 World Cup in Brazil 2019. In 2024, Oskar represented New Zealand at the Paris Olympics appearing in matches against Guinea, United States and France.
