At the beginning of 2017, aged 14, Oskar moved away from home to join the Wellington Phoenix Academy. Oskar played for the academy through the age groups for 5 years until he graduated to the first team and earned a 3 year deal professionally. he is currently in his third season with Wellington Phoenix.
Oskar has represented New Zealand u17 level 11 times competitively. He has scored 3 times and assisted 5, including in the FIFA u17 World Cup in Brazil 2019. In March 2023 he represented New Zealand at the u22 level twice against China.
